Last portion of a letter to a Knight ending with ‘ Yours very  truly  Rowland Hill’.   Mounted on a card and an excellent example of his signature ready for incorporation in to a collection or display.

  1637 Pre Civil War letter 

from Edw Haylin of Minster, Kent? to Hollywell, Oxford. Dated inside June 19 1637 but no postal markings so apparently carried privately – the official Post Office opened in England in 1635.  Very fine condition for such an early item and rare.
